Although they say they don't accept carrier bags we have not had any complaints from the bin men. We just put the filled bag straight into the bin. It won't smell because you are supposed to wash the recycling before disposal. Apparantly redrow told its residents that it shouldn`t be there? One person in particular driving a bmw black or blue in colour even went as far knocking on my door and advising me that its damaging his vehicle and his exhaust costs £3000 (yeah right.) Unfortuantly this guy now revs his car in frustration every time he sees me now and his car does clear the ramp because I have watched him. You'll need to water it in after a few days if it doesn't rain. Repeat every couple of months during the growing season, and even the bald paches should be covered up quite quickly. If they're too big, you may have to resort to a bit of seed. I believe there are special little seed packets for lawn repairs.
